Marissa McCoy leads innovation engagement & partnerships initiatives out of MITRE's MassRobotics office in the Boston Innovation District. She launches collaborative research with high tech startups and optimizes industry, academic, and government efforts by creating opportunities for cultural and technical exchange. Previously, Marissa built out Air Force Research Lab projects while at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, where she formed and managed interdisciplinary teams focused on exploring how social cueing impacts trust and reliance in human-machine teams. Prior to incorporating emotional intelligence concepts into machines, Marissa developed programs, tools, and curriculum focused on the human-human transfer of emotional intelligence skills in international education settings, including Jamaica (Peace Corps), Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Marissa holds a Masters in international education development from New York University.
